Seminar on "Enhancing the Knowledge of Competition Law in Different Regions"
North-east, Thailand - 23 - 26 February 2016 – The Office of Trade Competition Commission (OTCC), Department of Internal Trade (DIT) held a seminar on "Enhancing the Knowledge of Competition Law in Different Regions" under the “Project on Preparation for Establishment of an Independent Organization” in four provinces in the north-eastern Thailand (Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Mahasarakham, and Khon Kaen). The participants of the seminars included business operators, academics, students, and stakeholders from various sectors in the respective provinces. The discussion panel comprises representatives from the OTCC, provincial chambers of commerce, and universities.
These seminars are part of a series of activities planned in 2016 to promote a better understanding of competition law and its importance among key stakeholders, provide examples of how it works and the current development of competition law, and share information on trade and competition matters in each province. The seminars are part of Thailand’s efforts to enhance a culture of free and fair competition across the country.
