MyCC and MARDI Organises a Forum on Understanding and Deterring Bid Rigging in Government Procurement Activities

The Malaysia Competition Commission ("MyCC") in collaboration with the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute ("MARDI") has organised a Forum on Understanding and Deterring Bid Rigging in Government Procurement Activities. The forum was attended by more than 300 participants from the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MoA), Department of Agriculture (DoA), Department of Fisheries (DoF), Malaysia Quarantine and Inspection Services (MAQIS), Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), Farmers Organisation Authority (PELADANG), Muda Agricultural Development Authority (MADA), Kemubu Agriculture Development Authority (KADA), Malaysian Pineapple Industry Board (LPNM), Veterinary Services Department (DVS), and Malaysian Fisheries Development Authority (LKIM) is part of MyCC’s initiative in advocating the government officers on circumventing bid rigging activities in government procurement process. The participants been exposed to the methodology in identifying the elements of bid rigging that may exist in Government tenders.
